This new gpu is apparently based on the core GK104, although the original story mentions the GK106, apparently this is a misinterpretation, because due to the design of the Kepler architecture would not be possible to build a chip with five SMX ( GPCs two and a half), unless it is a chip with three GPCs (1152 shader processors) and has a disabled SMX, which is unlikely but not impossible.

GeForce GTX 650

Nvidia’s new GPU based on the new kernel GK106, 768 shader processors possess (two GPCs with four SMX) and 1GB of GDDR5 memory with 192-bit bus (four 128MB memory chips and two 256MB chips).

With its core size, the reference video cards based on this GPU will be even smaller than the reference PCB GeForce GTX 670. Also require a power connector pin 6, which suggests that their TDP should be less than 150W.

Video cards based on this GPU will be launched in October this year at an estimated price of between $169 to $199.
GeForce GTS 650

Formerly known as GeForce GT 640 D5 , this GPU will have exactly the same specifications as the GPU GeForce GT 640 , so it will be based on the core and will feature 384 gk107 shader processors, but unlike the GT 640, will be between 1 to 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 128-bit bus.

The reference video cards for this GPU will have a power connector 6 pin, so its exceed 75W TDP, but I think that should be less than 100W.

The estimated price for the reference video cards based on this GPU will be between $119 to $129 and will be released on September 6 this year.
