Hej MSI!

Jag har ett Z87 Mpower som av någon anledning vägrar kunnas överklocka. Har uppdaterat från 1.5 bioset till 1.7 utan någon framgång.

Jag har även provat att cleara CMOS som i sin tur inte har hjälpt.

Så varför kan jag inte röra multipliern som i sin tur inte är gråmarkerad utan vit?

If I buy a MSI GT70 from a swedish online retailer and wishes to add an msata SSD drive, does that have any impact on the warranty of the product? If i buy a highend rig I need to have the ability to upgrade the parts inside, such as the drives and ram.

Har du ändrat i BIOS så att datorn bootar från dvd-enheten?

For components (motherboards and vga cards) MSI doesn't have direct warranty service.
Just contact the shop for (warranty) service when broken.

You should be able to adjust the multiplier when using a "K" CPU (i.e. i7-4770K, i5-4670K).

If you are using a K cpu and the multiplier is "grayed out" better check the cpu socket for bent pins.

Depending on what SKU you have most GT70's don't have a mSATA slot vacant.
THe GT70 uses a "daughter card" to add two or three mSATA SSDs in a single 2.5" drive bay.

These daughter boards are not publicly available.

If you bought a GT70 with a 2.5" drive bay vacant you can only upgrade with a 2.5" drive.
Brackets should be available from webshops or service center.

Yeah I have realized my mistake in that recard, will use a regular 2.5" SSD like the Samsung 840 EVO. The GT70 I bought only has a regular 750 gb HDD so I should have a vacant 2.5" drive bay (have not yet received the laptop in question).

So there are no brackets in place in this model for the second 2.5" slot if it comes only with 1 HDD? Anything else I need in order to install the SSD?

So, no problems with the warranty even if I open it up and break the seal as long as I do not damage any of the parts inside, right?

I don't know if any reseller in Sweden caries MSI batteries but you may be able to get one from other countries through ebay or other websites.

Most MSI battery codes start with"BTY-" and then a number. E.g. CR620/CX620/CR630/etc has battery BTY-L74.
It maybe easier to find the battery with the BTY number on ebay or others.

Hi. My MSI 780 (reference model) has coilwhine in some applications, is that enough for getting the card changed? I really dont want my card to have more and more coilwhine as times goes.

Coil whine is a side effect that is usually not a reason for warranty service, unless it is unbearable.
"Unbearable" is a subjective measurement, so it's hard to say how a repair center will judge the coil whine issue.

When in doubt please check with the shop or send it in for service but please bear in mind you might get a card that has the same coil whine or worse.

Got a msi twi. Frozr gaming 780 oc. SLI config.

When i turn on computer cold often only 1 fan starts spinning on either of the cards. Results in full speed of the working fan once in windows.
If i let the system warm up a little then turn of computer and turn on again all fan work fine.

Is it because the temps in computer are too low.. Approx 18 degrees c?

Those cards are tuned to have a very low noise output, which results in a very low fan duty setting.
Since no two fans are identical, it may result in a faster and a slower fan (at the same fan duty).
In some cases it even results that one fan will stop at it's lowest fan duty.
This is usually not a problem as long as both fans start spinning when the GPU gets hotter.

If the difference in speed between the two fans is too big (in load, only when you can clearly see that one fan speeds up and the other almost doesn't increase in speed) or if one of the fans won't spin at all, you should contact your supplier for service.

Har haft min GE60-20C i ett par veckor nu. Är inte inkörd på den ännu men hittills är jag nöjd utom med en sak, batteriet. Fulladdat varar det i ca 2 tim. Skulle man inte kunna begära i alla fall 1 tim. till enligt specifikationen. Det är ju ett 6-cells batteri. Och då har jag inte spelat nåt...
Nån som vet var serienr. står nånstans? Så slipper jag leta.....ursäkta!

Unfortunately MSI Notebook backpack are not sold separately.

Battery life is very subjective to what you do when running on batteries. More specifically if the Nvidia GPU needs to be active for some tasks the battery life goes down rapidly. Also with cpu intensive tasks you get lower battery life.

I think 3-4 hours should be possible when just surfing the internet without too many streaming videos (also flash games or other apps can be tasking to cpu/gpu). Other components that require quite some power are: LCD (higher brightness mean less batterylife), keyboard backlight.
As far as I know MSI does not promise any battery life expectancy because of the unpredictability of the user's load on batteries.

Serial number can be found under the battery (you need to take out the battery)

Earlier this year I purchased a Z87-G45 from you guys. It's a lovely motherboard except for the fact that I cannot seem to turn off my integrated graphics no matter what I do. Is this normal or am I retarded?

Hello! Ive just bought an gtx 780 lightning that seems to have stopped to work. I get no signal form the card to my monitor. Ive tested vga, dvi and hdmi cables and none work, ive tested all pcie ports and none works. I did try my old tx 560ti which worked and i did get a signal. I noticed that the led lights above the card did go bananas when i tried to get a signal, i have a video of it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3ha0AVGfBA the card also sometimes start with 100% fan speed and i have a video of it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AsHM-uGquQ And i still get no signal. What should i do? Are those leds showing a code or something for the problem?

When you use bios defaults and plug in a graphics card, the integrated graphics is disabled.
However if you run Lucid MVD software and enable Virtu Technology in the bios, it will be active even witha graphics card installed.
Also if you enable "IGD Multi monitor" in the bios (Bios->Settings-> Advanced-> Integrated Graphics Configuration).

Maybe you can check if you have enable any of those two settings in the bios.

This sounds and looks like a broken graphics card.
