Thermalright Ultra 120 "Extreme" (2007-03-07)
"
The Ultra 120 was the first cooler tested that could effectively cool a stock Core 2 Duo without a fan. The Ultra 120 Extreme should extend the usefulness of the fanless solution even further. The two extra heatpipes dramatically improve cooling in stress conditions, and this should also improve fanless operation. This works best when you use a fanless Ultra 120 Extreme in a case with a down-facing power supply fan and/or a rear system cooling fan that will help draw air over the heatsink.
Where it barely fits on Ultra 120, the 775 adapter will fit between the heatpipes on the original Ultra 120 and effectively mount a Core 2 Duo. However, with closer heatpipes on the Ultra 120 Extreme, the 775 adapter will not fit between the heatpipes.
You have to bend and weaken the metal 775 adapter to pass it through the pipes, and then straighten it out for mounting. If you are careful this will work, but it is not the kind of mounting we expect to see with a top-end cooler like the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme

silentpcreview.com gjorde (2006-11-27) en andra round-up av 120mm fläktar men följande resultat:
"
There appears to be quite a bit of competition for the title of quietest 120mm fan. Of the six fan series that we tested, three are good enough for an SPCR recommendation.
The best fan of the bunch was the Noctua, which overcame our skepticism and lived up to its hype by producing more airflow at lower speeds. Its airflow-to-noise ratio is its best feature, which gives it enough of an edge to make up for its slightly rougher noise character. The Noctua has seen recommendations around the web, and we have no qualms about adding our own to the list.

Thermalright SI-128 (2007-02-03)
"
With a properly chosen fan, the SI-128 is capable of cooling most mainstream processors very quietly. The K8 clip is elegant and quite easy to use.
Thermalright is the only company we know of that sells heatsinks alone without cooling fans, even though they are not designed for fanless cooling.
As noted in the introduction, it will probably find most of its buyer in the home theater market, where price is no object and tall, high-rise heatsinks are counted out by their size. The SI-128 is just short enough to fit in a HTPC case that supports full-size expansion cards. And, given how poor the airflow is in many HTPC cases, the SI-128 may have a real advantage over the more compact heatsinks out there.

Silverstone Nitrogon NT06 (2006-10-4)
"
The cooling performance of the NT06 is also very good, with low temperatures in both idle and load states. The only bad points of this cooler are the noise levels and the cost. These down points may put off those that like a quiet PC

"
The shortcomings with this product consist of a noisy fan when at full speed, and its installation may be a hassle for some users.
