Performance-wise, the Tiger K8WE puts up very good raw CPU numbers when loaded with a pair of AMD’s top of the line Opteron 280 processors. Than again, so do other competing Opteron platforms. When it comes to memory and gaming performance, however, the Tiger K8WE simply falls behind competing platforms. Whether Tyan simply needs a new BIOS revision to correct these missteps, or they simply need to be more aggressive with their memory timings, something likely needs to be done.
