Abit general manager Edwin Lin cites an aggressive campaign to recover market share in the DIY motherboard market as one of the main reasons for the turnaround. Lin estimates Abit will ship 160,000-170,000 motherboards in June while raising gross margins back up to 15-20%. By the fourth quarter, Lin estimates Abit will recover its lost DIY motherboard market share of the past, as well as beat, by a long shot, its 2003 financial forecast.
