Hello,

I heard that the 3480 was going to be updated. When will we see this update?

Hello Bacon,

Thank you for your message.
Where did you get this information?

The only thing i can think of rightnow is that before we had the NSK3400, we renamed it to NSK 3480 because it has now a 80plus power supply inside it thatis why its calles 3480 where 80 stands for 80 plus.

Hello!

I was about to start a thread earlier about whether or not an updated NSK 3400-series would be coming. Does Antec accept suggestions from an old NSK 3400-user? I love the case but there is some things that could be better with it.

A bit of-topic but I would love to see a m-ITX tower based on the NSK 34x0-design too.

Welcome to the forums!

Thank you!
And yes suggestions are always welcome.

I will make sure you get on the list of all suggestions.

Many NSK3480 users drill holes for cable management in the motherboard-tray and in the PSU chamber so I guess that could be applied to all NSK3480 in general? Also replace front fans with a 120 mm fan.

I would like to see a similar HDD mounting as Solo have but it may be difficult to fit in the case.

One of the biggest problems with the NSK versions are the vents in the sidepanel, the chassis are nice to fit some sound dampening material etc but its hard to make the vents dissapear and it leaks sound.

A new verison of Antec solo whouldnt be bad.

Im gonna go ahead and say +1 on the above suggestions.

-Better cable management.
-Try to fit one or two 120mm fans instead of the 92mm. (Many people have made this mod, so your engineers should also be able to.
-Remove one of the spaces for optical drives. This makes room for suspending 2 hdds and one sdd. Enough for all your needs.
-Remove the vents that just lets noise out.
-Update to USB 3.0

That case I would buy instantly! Problem for you guys is it would probably be the last case anyone would ever need to buy.

I'm late to the party, but I like this case as it is and have built up and sold quite a few.

#1 Remove the side vent, it's pointless. The same goes for the little vent in the back(below the fan) and the expansion port covers with holes in them. Perhaps keep the vents but include vent covers like Fractal Design did on their R2?

#2 120mm front fan with minimal or no grill, dust filter if possible.

#3 Sound dampening sheets like in the Solo.
