Asus M4N98TD EVO SLI - Asus vägrar fixa bugg!

Mitt moderkort i sign har en bugg gällande Q-FAN funktionen i BIOS. Den ska styra fläktarna efter temperatur vilket bara delvis fungerar. Fläktarna varfar upp när tempraturen ökar, men varvar aldrig ner igen efter temperaturen ahr sjunkit.

Har skickat CA 18 mail mellan mig och ASUS support, och hela tiden försöker dom bara idiotförklara mig istället för att erkänna att det finns ett fel på deras produkt. I sista mailet hänvisade dom mig istället till min återförsäljare, vilket är Inet. Jag har hört av mig till dom för att kolla om det är någonting dom kan göra. Väntar i skrivande stund på svar.

Undrar nu om ni som har detta moderkort kan testa denna funktion för att se om det fungerar för er?

Jag har provat att uppdatera bios till senaste, provat med 4 olika fläktar både PWM och DC , men ingenting hjälper!

It's been a long time sinse your responce. Im still waiting for a solution
to this bug. The latest BIOS update did not adress the issue. In my oppinion
this should be covered by warranty?

I think i am using a PWM fan. The fan provided by Corsair is using a 4 pin
connector
which should indicate PWM. And i have set the setting to PWM in the BIOS,
(i have
also tried to set it to DC, but it makes no diffrance). Hope this helps.

Also i am using 120m.m Fractal Design Fans, info found here:

This does not seem to be bound to what type of fan i am using. I just
purchased
120m.m GentlyTyphoon fans from Scythe, so i will try with these. Though i
doubt that
it will make any difference.

I have now updated my bios, and reset all the settings. This how ever did
not solve
anything. Would apriciate a solution, this feature is very important to
keep low noise.

Hello. I only have one fan connected to the CPU-fan connector. And 2 other
fans
connected to the chassi-fan connectors.

I have tried to disconnect all fans accept the cpu-fan, with no diffrence
in the results.

Resetting the CMOS did not help. I did it by following chapter 2.6 in the
manual. e.g
removing battery, and power cord before using the CMOS jumper. I also tried
to slect
DC fan and PWM fan, this did not make any difference. The fan still speeds
up when
the cpu gets warm, but does not slow down again. I have tried this with 3
different
120m.m fans now. The original fan provided with the Corsair H50 cooling
solution,
Fractal design 120mm fan, and the fan on Scythe Kabuto cooler. All show the
same
behaviour.

My RAM part nr is: CMX4GX3M2A1600C8

This is very strange in my opinion. Hope you can help me further.

[Problem Description]
I seem to be having strange problems with the Q-Fan function. I tried to set it to
optimal. And my fan slows down, then after havy usage of computer the fan speeds
up as it should, to cool the CPU. When the cpu is once again cool (around 40C in
Asus Probe) the fan does NOT slow down again. I have tried two diffrent fans with
same behaviour. Even I set the q-fan function to "manual" it does the same thing, it
speeds up when it should, but never slows down. E.g once the fan reaches 100%
speed, it will not slow down again until i restart my computer.

Can you please help me with this issue? It seems to be a bug?

De har ju gått flera månader, hur länge e rimligt?

Har du testat på ditt mobo om det funkar som det ska? Jag har fått svar från Inet som säger att jag kan skicka in moderkortet för garantiprövning. Men det käns riktigt omständigt ifall de inte hittar något fel på de, å så måste jag stå för frakten tur och retur, då kan man lika gärna köpa ett helt nytt moderkort eller en fläktkontroller.
