Vengeance K90 + wireless mouse

Hi

I got me a Vengeance K90 and a wireless mouse. (which I love) The mouse is a wireless & batteryless mouse which works by transmitting RF power. I forgot which model it is, the swedish model is from Sandberg model 630-82 . My previous model was from A4 tech model nb-30.
I'm not willing to give up my mouse, because I hate batteries in mice, and wires tend to get tangled and stuck and generaly interfere with my mousing.

The problem is that the mouse is placed next to the keyboard, and when I type i get lots and lots of random letters. I tested the keyboard on a different computer and it works just fine.
The conclusion is that the mouse is interfering with the keyboard.
¨
What can I do to shield the keyboard better?

have you installed the drivers for the k90 and updated the firmware?

Yes, I installed it all.
It worked just fine, until it starts spamming letters and numbers when you type, sometimes even hit some shortcut to do stuff.
It just seems to get interference from the mouse. I have'nt had the problem with any other keyboard, So I guess it's just sensitive.
If I don't remember it completely wrong, the mouse operates around the 128khz range.

Basicaly, I'm just wondering if there might be something that could be done to improve the shielding of the inner workings of the keyboard.

If the mouse is powered via EM induction, it’s possible the EM field is interfering with the keyboard controller, though it would have to be a fairly strong field.

1- Assuming you are right-handed, how far away is the mouse from the keyboard (centre of mouse to keyboard edge)?
2- How far do you have to move the mouse from the keyboard before inference stops (centre of mouse to keyboard edge)?
3- Which keys repeat? Are they always the same keys or random keys? Please list the keys.
4- If you type, for example 1234, do random keys appear or the same keys repeat?

Well , I dont have the keyboard connected since it was pretty much unusable. but here's what i've got so far.
It is powered by EM induction.
1. About 5-15cm
2. hmm,, I'll have to test that.
3. Some keys more than others, but again I'll have to test that.
4. Random keys appear together with what i typed.

I'm gonna plug it in and do some testing now. so.. brb

Good news, Turns out the problem was not just one, but 2 faulty usb hubs.
No problems so far with any random keys/shortcuts.

That's what you get for trying to make your life a bit easier I guess. *sigh*
I tested both hubs earlier, which is connected front panel and backside. but this time, just for the hell of it, I disconnected the front panel hub and plugged the keyboard directly into the puter, and it worked! (and there was much rejoicing. *yaaay*)
Of course the other puters I tested on earlier didn't have any hubs, so that worked aswell.
Glad to have that sorted, Thank you

(Still though, It's a bit odd that a usb hub can have that effect.)

Glad you're sorted! And I think you'll have to just put the USB hub Mystery into an X-File, and give it to Scully...
