It wont "suck" until you have water in the loop from the res to the pump, which seems a bit cumbersome to get.

Still, is a beautiful build! I wish I had the modding knowhow to do something similar

I will be first to admit that this loop was hell to bleed the air out. Since I filled the reservoir via the top, the water actually naturally filled the straw, went along the tube to the radiator and filled/primed the pump. The pump did have a hard time pushing the required water because of the trapped air though, so I had to flip the entire chassis on the front panel which emptied almost all of the reservoir into the gpu block, radiator, and pump, and let the air out via the reservoir. I could progress too fill the res almost to the top, and then rock the chassis from standing normally to standing on the front wooden panel which bled out all of the air.

Since the system is completely without air now, the flow is great and temps are respectable for an AIO pump.

I really have to stop created complicated loops.. haha

Beauty comes at a price I guess

I wanted to ask though, how is that pump managing the size of the loop? I love the solution of using an integrated CPU block and pump, and I hope to find that type of products (I only found Swiftechs Apogee Drive II when searching now). Mounting the pump in a good dampened way if often hard in my opinion. At least if you want to avoid modding.

Have you seen any major drawbacks in performance compared to a D5 for example?

The apogee II is fantastic and you should get it. I have one in my FT03 project.

This FD pump is much weaker than a D5, as it has less flow and pressure. This is why bleeding the loop was very hard. the D5 would have pushed out most air without me tipping the chassis.

Hope this info is helpful
