Search of the silent setup

Hi,

I must write in English, as my Swedish is still like 3 years old child.. so i hope that we can go like this.

Ok,

I am starting a new setup, and i am kind a freak for computer noise, so i am searching a new case, what is decent price, enough of space for cables, but prio 1 is that it is easy to make silent. I have planned/ at least partial water cooling setup, so at least 240 radiator would be nice to fit in the top or somewhere.

I have tried to go thru millions web pages and articles, but now, also would like to get some advices from you guys, what do you think, what would be decent case for silent computer. Small side window could be nice, but not necessarry.

ATX size ofc, i have already Z97 Deluxe, m.2 ssd, strix 780, where i have to do something also later on.. cpu has closed watercooling at the moment with noctua fans, so it is quite ok.

And if you have any hints for silent psu, that would be nice also...

I would recommend Define S of obvious reasons
There are two models, one with window and one without, i have both.

That looks nice, how about resonance, does it takes any from your gpu, fans and psu?

Any case with sound dampening material should be fine. I would suggest Fractal Design R4, R5 or Define S/define S mini depending on what you want/need. Keep in mind that a case with a window has less sound dampening material than a case without, thus I would recommend a windowless case if you want to reduce the noise as much as possible.

Resonance from fans I would say is not a problem with most cases. Noise and resonance from HDD:s on the other hand can be very tricky to eliminate. I bought a Scythe Himuro HDD Cooler to help with that, and I think it's much better now. Under heavy workloads it may actually sound more, but in normal usage I can't hear it.
