mooo.com was yanked from freedns.afraid.org by the registrar this AM. I was able to re-acquire delegation again very rapidly and sort out the details with the registrar and confirm delegations were corrected around 11AM today. A users site on this domain created the issue that led to it.
Due to DNS caching there may be lingering effects on some networks, which is normal anytime any domain nameserver delegations are messed with for any domain for any reason - this is because TLD level caching at the .com level, not because the issue hasn't already been fixed several hours ago.
Unfortunately I had no warning, I did share about the disproportional impact to my users due to DNS caching to the registrar, hopefully such a issue does not re-occur. They have not given me much trouble in the past for many years of reliable service however I do not want this to happen again from them.
I also want to say thank you for several of you very proactive/responsive in observing and quickly emailing me about it, which I sincerely appreciate, even though I couldn't individually respond at that moment - it absolutely painted a very clear picture very quickly and helped get it rapidly restored and I consider your messages helpful to the process.
