Dela ut mapp på filserver.

Hejsan.
Jag har en mapp på min filserver (som kör ubuntu) som jag skulle vilja dela ut
när jag kör dc på min windowsburk.
Hoppas ni förstår vad jag menar.
Vad ska jag använda för program till det? Samba?

Det här är ju sinnes-sjukt.
Jag har hållt på o pillat i flera dagar och läst guide efter guide men
ändå lyckas jag inte komma in på min share ifrån windows-burken.
Andra hållet går bra. Jag kan se mina utdelade mappar på windows-burken
när jag sitter i linux o klickar runt men inte tvärt om.
Det står: \\server är inte tillgänglig bla bla bla när jag försöker klicka mig in på den.
För ser den, det gör jag. Några ideer?

Mycket möjligt att denna är helt galen. Jag har ändrat så mkt fram o tebax så jag vet knappt var jag är.
Det enda jag vill är att kunna klicka mig in i en share på min linuxburk.

Prova \\ip-adress istället för \\servernamn när du ansluter.

Byt till: security = user

och under [public] lägg till raden
valid users = <username>

Glöm inte att användarna måste läggas in i samba (smbpasswd).

Nu ser jag mapparna som är utdelade men när jag ska klicka mig in får jag skriva i ett lösenord men
inte användarnamn, det är redan ifyllt "Gäst". Och går ej att ändra.
Och "gäst" går ej att lägga till i smbpasswd.
Skulle vilja ha utan lösenord m.m. Bara att klicka sig in alltså.

ett tips jag kör på för att slippa allt sånt där, är att du kör samma användare på linux och win, och samma pass. då behöver man aldrig fylla i lösen m.m.

kanske inte supersäkert? men fungerar bra.
