Vad står det där?

Det ska stå något i stil med
PCI\VEN_xxxx&DEV_yyyy&...

xxxx och yyyy kan tala om vad det är för pryl som saknar drivrutiner.

Det är en VIA HD Audio Driver som saknas.

Kolla på VIA:s hemsida.

Där står bl a:

4) If you find that you do have VIA onboard sound, go to the audio drivers page where you will find the drivers for VIA onboard sound. Match your southbridge chip to the tables on the page and download the corresponding driver.

5) If you find that you do not have VIA onboard sound, note the name of the onboard sound you do have and follow the links to downloads or drivers on your motherboard manufacturers web site to find the correct drivers.

Vad har du i Device Manager => Universal Serial Bus controllers ?

En snabb fråga xJom: Hur tar du reda på vad det är för komponent som inte är installerad i enhetshanteraren? Har ett liknande problem (i enhetshanteraren dyker det upp "PCI Device" och den enheten är okänd och går inte att installera, trots att jag tömt moderkortet på anslutna enheter. Tror att det är någon form av chipset-drivrutin eller nåt.) Kan man ta reda på vad det är för komponent om man får fram device instance ID som du beskrev ovan?

Google på "VEN_xxxx DEV_yyyy"

I bästa fall hittar den en liten ledtråd så att du kan lägga till vendor (T ex VIA) istället, så att du kan Googla på "VIA xxxx yyyy".

I bästa fall hittar Google då till DriverAgent.com, eller liknande sida där alla vendors och devices finns listade.
