I bought this to go in my new micro-atx rig, a Thermaltake Lanbox. It fits fine, with a reasonable amount of space above it for air intake. I had to turn the PSU upside so its fan was not completing for air with this. There's space around the bottom with enough clearance for my ram + heatsinks, which can sometimes be an issue with matx boards and low profile coolers.
Its speed can be varied, but I leave it on full all the time - as far as I'm concerned it's completely silent; my hard drive makes more noise than it. Keeps my AMD2 (6000 I think) running at about 30 deg C
