Display halverad: Bränt grafikkort?
Skriver på engelska, hoppas ingen har något emot det.
-------------QUICK INFO
Model: LG P1-KB11A (LG Electronics)
Type: Laptop
Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
-------------PROBLEM DISCRIPTION
The system froze as I was watching a high resolution video in VLC media player. Usually, if the room is cool, I have no problem watching high-res video. However, if the computer has been on for a few days and is warm, the video stream will start lagging.
This was exactly what happened right before the system froze. After a reboot, the display was completely black.
I booted in safe-mode and found that the display was split in half.
After I disabled the original video display driver, Windows booted normally but still with a split display.
Whenever I try to install any other driver than the Windows Standard VGA driver, the display turns black upon reboot.
