Antec Fusion HTPC Remote problems

When I got my new Antec Fusion HTPC Remote, I connected all the cables that was included, the power cable to the LCD display got so hot that the plastic shield started to smoke.

Is this a known problem or did I do something wrong?

I used the converter cable that was included, that had the only cable that fits to the LCD display power cable, so it should work. Or so I thought atleast...

Anyone with good ideas are welcome to answer
