Den som spelar både Battlefield 3 Beta och Id Softwares Rage behöver inte längre bolla mellan olika versioner av drivrutinerna. AMD tar med optimeringarna från både Catalyst 11.10 Preview och Rage Performance Driver i nya version 11.10 Preview 2.

I fallet Battlefield 3 handlar det precis som tidigare om prestandaoptimeringar för grafikkort i Radeon HD 6000- och HD 5000-serierna i både singel- och Crossfire-konfiguration. För Rage tillhandahålls bättre prestanda och ett gäng buggfixar även till Radeon HD 4000, dock saknas fortfarande stöd för Crossfire.

Den nya drivrutinen passar till Windows XP, Vista samt Windows 7 och finns i vanlig ordning att ladda ned från AMD:s webbplats.

AMD Catalyst 11.10 Preview Driver Features:

  • Improves performance in Battlefield 3 Open Beta release for both non-Anti-Aliasing and application enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on single GPU configurations using the AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products.

  • Reduces intermittent crashing seen loading levels in Rage

  • Resolves flickering of NPCs in Rage

  • Enables automatic Vsync for Rage

  • Enables support for AMD Eyefinity 5x1 display (portrait and landscape) configurations using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 series of products.

  • AMD Vision Engine Control Center: User Interface enhancements have been implemented for the AMD CrossfireX™, GPU AMD Overdrive™ and Information Center pages.
