"apparently it's an issue with that (cheap) series of PSU, where the plug is just incorrect. Return the PSU and get a decent quality one."
"This is getting to be a huge issue with the CX series."

"It's on a corsair CX PSU, into an MSI motherboard, I know it's a common problem, there is about 2mm left that just won't go in and the clip isn't on. Tried applying lots of force, that didn't work. So we took it back to the store and they replaced it, it still doesn't fit, is it possible that it's the motherboard?"
"It's a known flaw in the way the CX series 24 pin is made , has a poor clip , once in awhile you see it in the RM series.

It's a common question on the forum ^
RMA it or buy a quality branded PSU."
"Look at my post above , it's not going to latch it's a flaw in the clip and a common one."
"It's a manufacturing defect as far as i'm concerned , get a XFX , Seasonic.
This question comes up on the forum a few times a week sometimes more.
2 this week already.
Only from Corsair supplies."

"Okay, I fixed the issue myself, I think the problem was that the PSU connector and motherboard connector just needed to be "broken in" a little. All I did was keep plugging and unplugging them and eventually the the PSU connector slid in reasonably well. The computer was up and running soon after."

"Let me guess a Corsair CX series power supply.
It's a known flaw in the poorly made clip a very common question."
"No remedies it's a poorly made latch . we get this question all week long on the forum."

"Is it a CX series from Corsair?
If so it's a known issue.
RMA it."
"It's a flaw in the way the clip is made , I would RMA It.This comes up in the forum all the time , mostly the CX series , but once in awhile RM."

During a build using the Corsair CX750 Power Supply, I also discovered an issue with the ATX connector not seating on the board. I checked the length and width of the plug with digital calipers and compared the measurements with a power supply plug that connected to the board with ease. Dimensions were the same. I then took a depth gauge, and measured the depth of the females on both power supply plugs. The female depth on the Corsair CX750 were 2mm shallower which accounted for the 2mm shortfall while trying to plug into the ATX connection. The Corsair was sent back.
