OVH slutar inte ta betalt.
Hej,
Jag har haft en server hos https://www.ovh.ie/ som jag har kostat runt €80 per månad. Jag slutade betala för den i Juni då jag inte längre var i behov av den. Enligt vad jag har läst hos OVH's egna forum ska man bara sluta betala och då stänger de av servern. Så jag slutade betala (jag hade ingen bindningstid etc).
Då fick jag följande email från dem:
"Our system has detected that your server has expired in spite of
the reminders that we have sent you.
Your server will thus be suspended within the next few minutes.
To reactivate the server, all you need to do is:
1) Go to:
https://www.ovh.ie/cgi-bin/order/renew.cgi?domainChooser=****...
2) Make the payment using one of the suggested payment methods.
An invoice will be sent to you shortly confirming the renewal of your server for the chosen duration.
If you simply forgot, we recommend activating automatic server renewal via the Control Panel. This feature is free and it will save from having to worry about forgetting to renew again. Naturally, automatic renewal does not involve any obligations and you can disable it at any time.
IMPORTANT:
==========
If you don't renew your server within 5 days, it will PERMANENTLY shut down. All your disks will then be permanently wiped to ensure the confidentiality of your data and consequently, it will not be possible to recover any data.

Bra tyckte jag, då är den avslutad och sen kollade jag inte mer på min server mail.
I augusti loggade jag in igen på min server email och såg då att jag hade "late payments" loggade in på OVH för att se vad som hade hänt och tydligen hade de lagt kostnaden på servern som kredit på mitt konto, vilket resulterade i € -262.47 på mitt OVH konto. De försöker nu kräva mig på de pengarna.
Några dagar efter att jag hade fått det första mailet ovan fick jag detta:
"Dear Customer,
Your account has been credited and your server is now active again.
Your invoice will be sent to you shortly by email.
For any further information, please contact us at customersupport@ovh.ie"
Fast jag hade ju inte loggat in på mitt konto överhuvud taget? Vilket det stod att man skulle göra i det första mailet om man inte ville att de avslutade servern. Jag fick dessa vars ett av dessa mail varje månad fram tills augusti.
Jag har såklart kontaktat supporten men de tycker att jag ska behöva betala krediten verkar det som.
Här är första svaret jag fick från supporten:
Hello,
I've checked and can see you have closed the server. Which order needs
refunding? I will then check and see if it is possible. Please note it isn't
possible for a server to be set to automatically renew, you have to do this
manually yourself.

I did NOT go to my OVH and make a payment like it told me to do if I wanted to keep my server subscription. But later I received this:

According to the email before:

If I did not renew my server it would "PERMANENTLY shut down" however it didn't and you kept charging me. When I logged in last month to see all of this, my server was not even usable, but I was still being charged for it.

account. Please complete payment to proceed with the services. Thank you.

Kan tillägga att det tar runt 4-5 arbetsdagar för dem att svara på mina mail.
