Sprang in i ett par av er igår, vi körde IS-brawler deck med mig spakandes en Atlas D-DC. o7 från Templar Mercenary Corps! Vi tränar Mån/Tors/Sön 20:30 och det går fint att gästspela om intresse finns.

IS Quirk pass update

Som ni kanske vet har PGI utvärderat alla mechs och sorterat dem i fem tiers, rankade efter hur bra de anses vara och börjat tilldela dessa quirks på testservers. Vad är då quirks? Läs nedan för exempel på Hunchback och Awesome!

Vad anser ni om dessa, bra eller dåligt? Själv undrar jag om elite skill fast fire, AC20 cooldown module och AC20 25% cooldown på HGN-4G kommer att staplas?

Preliminärt gillar jag konceptet men vi får se hur det faller ut i gameplay!

Okay here are a couple examples of the IS Quirk pass that are final.

Well I should be specific that it is final for the INITIAL phase, I am positive that the complexity and depth of the quirk system will only continue to grow as we add more movement quirks, families of weapons and so on.

Although there will be many comments and opinions from players on what quirks they feel should have been given to a particular mech, I will just state again that this is the initial pass. The number one comment though is certain to be something along the lines of:

"But that isn't how I play my Hunchback 4G and therefore I won't be getting as much of a benefit"

This is true but it's how we wanted to approach this initial pass. For many chassis there ends up being very little difference between the hard points and a player may end up building those variants in a very similar way. For instance whether I am playing a Dragon 5N, 1C or 1N I generally end up building them in very much the same way.

By focusing the quirks per variant in a specific way we feel we can achieve a higher degree of success with the quirks while increasing the variety of mechs on the battlefield.

Here are some example mech's for your review to both drive the point home but also to give you a sense of what the entire pass will look like.

Hunchback 4G is designated as a Tier 5 Brawler - Because it is a brawler it can get certain types of quirks
Additional Armor (RT) +18
Additional Structure (RT) +12
AC/20 Range +25%
AC/20 Cooldown +25%
AC/20 Velocity +25%
Energy Weapon Heat Gen -12%
Energy Weapon Range +16%
As you can see the 4G is about the AC20 as you would expect. You can also see that the tier 5 weapon specific quirks are 25%, then you can see what the tier 5 GENERAL energy weapon quirks top out at. This quirk set will leave the player some flexibility on what type of energy weapons you choose to take out.

Hunchback 4H is designated a Tier 4 Skirmisher
Additional Armor (RT) +18
Additional Structure (RT) +12
AC/10 Range +20%
AC/10 Cooldown +20%
Medium Laser Cooldown +20%
Medium Laser Heat Gen -20%
In this case you can see that a Tier 4 mech can have 4 quirks rather than the 5. Now it is intentional that we made the 4H all about the AC10 to really separate it out from the 4G so one does not make the other useless. You can also see that tier 4 weapon specific quirks top out at 20%

Now in either case if you say "I only run AC5's" yes it is true you will not take on all of the benefits of these quirks, but you will still get the great buffs to the RT both in armor and Internals now, as well as the energy/medium laser buffs on these two mech's.

Rightfully all about the PPC receiving 4 tier 5 weapon specific quirks for the PPC as well as a tier 5 laser duration quirk. Also notice the significant internal structure quirks for the CT, RT and LT to protect that large barn door frame.

I hope this information will help you wait until this huge update can go live on Nov 4th.

Det ska bli riktigt intressant att se vad de hittar på med Catapult Jester som innan PPC/Jumpjet-nerf var en utav mina favoriter. PPC/jj quirk eller kanske något som gör att ML/LPL (tänk Timberwolf laservomit) blir ett bra alternativ?

Spelade mechwarrior för lääääänge sedan när det första spelet dök upp och är lite sugen på att testa igen.
Har precis skaffat mig en HOTAS uppsättning inför kommande Elite Dangerous, är joystick och throttle vettigt även för MWO eller är mus och tangentbord bättre?
Känner att jag har mycket snabbare åtkomst till knappar jämfört med tangentbord där jag får flytta händerna längre för att komma åt allt men det beror naturligtvis på hur många knappar man behöver använda samt hur siktet hanteras i spelet baserat på kontrolltyp.

Mycket sant, jag har Jester själv och funderar på samma sak.

Det är bara att tanka hem! Det är ett av de få spel som idag inte är överförenklat, finns många nivåer i det att tänka på. Kom in på Mumble också så får du lancemates.

Det finns de som kör gas och torso kontroll med spak i kombination med mus för armarna, de svär på att det är bättre. Har inte provat själv med annat än mus/tangentbord eller min X52 stick&throttle men spelet är tyvärr inte riktigt gjort för stick uppsättningar.

Score formula: (kills) + (kill_assists × 2) + (spot_assist × 2) + ((damage - friendlyfire_damage) ÷ 15) + (cbills_earned ÷ 10000) + (xp_earned ÷ 100)

A player gets 1 kill, 3 kill assists, 6 spot assists, did 450 damage and 0 friendly fire damage, earned 100,000 CB and 450 XP:
Points = 1 + (3 × 2) + (6 × 2) + ((450 - 0) ÷ 15) + (100,000 ÷ 10,000) + (450 ÷ 100)
Points = 1 + 6 + 12 + 30 + 10 + 5 <- (4.5 rounded to 5)
Points = 64

Verkar som vi får en lotteri chans genom att uppnå 30 poäng eller mer, borde vara enkelt i en vinstmatch. Chansen gäller MC, premium tid, mechbays, cbills, consumables, general xp, cockpit items eller något som de kallar "tricks" vad det nu är?

BJ-1X med 8 st medium laser, byter ibland bort 2 lasrar till tag och extra AMS ammo för att få lite extra assist och hjälpa LRM båtarna.

Christmas is coming a little early to MechWarrior this year, and it's bringing along some big stompy 'Mechs!

This patch contains the King Crab reward ‘Mech and all the remaining Wave 2 Content for those with eligible pre-orders.

Since we have moved up the release of all this content we are also making the King Crab and Mad Dog Standard variants vvailable for MC today. These ‘Mechs will be available for C-bills starting January 20th.

Kört en del CW men problemen är hitreg som är extremt mycket sämre än i vanliga matcher, man får leda med 1-2 meter även med laser.
Vi är ett par som går under [SweC] i FRR.

Jo hitregen är riktigt dålig tyvärr. Men inte upplevt den nämnvärt mycket sämre i CW än i vanliga public matcher. Iofs är kör jag mest brawlers och då märks det inte lika mycket. Hoppas de lyckas fixa detta snart då det börjar bli jobbigt att dundra in massiv skada i ryggen på någon och man enbart repar lacken lite.

För mig blir det troligen lite spelande här under dagen och förhoppningsvis så blir vi ett par stycken senare ikväll.

För mig är hitreg/lag så att jag i CW måste leda målen med 1-2 meter. I vanliga matcher är det dock inte lika illa.

Aha, där har vi honom! Känner igen nicket från matcherna, kul att du snokade upp oss här också.

Alltid roligt när någon hajar till ingame och känner igen taggen. Du är välkommen in på Mumble om du vill. Nu i juletid har ju spelandet saktat in en smula men mellan sju till tolv sitter nästan alltid någon och lirar. Ofta fler.
