Bios-updatering till AMILO M3438G / M4438G. Släppt.

Fujitsu siemens har släppt en Bios-uppdatering till AMILO M3438G / M4438G.
För dom som är intresserade kan uppdatera. Själv har jag uppdaterat och det gick smärtfritt. Bar att dra igång programet så sköter den sig själv.

Det som är nytt för den här uppdateringen är:

current BIOS v1.10:
Solved Problems:

1.....
- The Enable / Disable Remote Control option was added to the BIOS setup.
This option can be used by customers, who encounter interferences with
infra red remote controls of other home entertainment equipment.

2.....
- The option to enable / disable the CPU Execute-Disable-Bit (aka NX or execution protection) was added to the BIOS setup.

3.....
- The option to enable / disable the LCD panel power saving was added to
the BIOS setup. If this option is enabled (=default) the LCD brightness
will be decreased when the system is idle for ~ 10 min. If this option is
disabled, the battery run time may be reduced.

- The BIOS can also be updated under Win XP environment by executing
WinFlash_P71EN0_110.EXE.

Det jag undrar över är om nån vet vad dom olika uppdateringar gör för nytta och vad dom innebär..

1. Vad skulle jag kunna koppla till/utnyttja.
Kan jag styra Winamp med den inbyggde remote kontrollen?

2. Vad innebär CPU Execute-Disable-Bit.

3. Om LCD är idle ~10min så stängs den av. Den är redan Windows stryd i dag att den stängs av efter typ 15 min hos mig.
Eller har jag missuppfattat det. Gör den samma sak.
