Vissa appars funktioner är lite överlappande med andra alternativ. Ibland använder jag t.ex. bara någon enstaka trevlig funktion i något program, även om majoriteten av funktionerna även finns i något annat liknande program.

Transmission - One of the most liked BitTorrent client out there.
Qpdf - A very nice terminal based PDF manipulation tool.
budgie-window-shuffler - Offers window-tiling capability for the Budgie desktop. Very handy if you are a keyboard-oriented user but also for convenience while using GUI-based applications.
pwgen - CLI based password generator for creating easily memorable passwords.
Déjà Dup - Simple Backup Software, makes use of Duplicity. Default lets you choose whether to encrypt your backups or not. Can make use of most backup services and transfer protocols e.g. NFS, SMB and SFTP/SSH.
Variety - (Desktop Live Wallpaper) Variety changes the desktop wallpaper on a regular basis, using user-specified or automatically downloaded images. Can apply fancy filters and fetch wallpapers from internet sources.
Dia Diagram Editor - Open Source drawing software with more than 30 different diagram types like flowcharts, network diagrams, database models.
Atom - Atom is a free and open-source text and source code editor for macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows with support for plug-ins written in JavaScript, and embedded Git Control, developed by GitHub. Atom is a desktop application built using web technologies.
lshw - (List Hardware) CLI task manager-like program with live process, CPU & RAM monitoring.
htop - An interactive system-monitor process-viewer and process-manager. It is designed as an alternative to the Unix program top.
iftop - Listens to network traffic on interfaces and displays a table of bandwidth usage by hosts similar to how top displays CPU usage.
nethogs - NetHogs is a small net top tool. (Useful for checking if services running are "hogging" your bandwith)
bottom - A cross-platform graphical process/system monitor with a customizable interface and a multitude of features. Supports Linux, macOS, and Windows. Inspired by both gtop and gotop.

Gpodder - Pod listening app, can sync with Play Store/F-Droid apps like AntennaPod and others.
