Hur överklockar jag min 9600K?

*Resport from reddit*

Hey !

I'm a total scrub when it comes to overclocking and things, and I would need some help to tune my PC to its maximum effort! I have super smooth gameplay on Warzone but I get random spike laggs and i tried to move around some settings using Asus tweak, it sure got hell of a lot better but still some spikelags in some critical situations... really tilting. The BIOs i havnt touched much at all ... Im gonna drop some screenies and i hope its enuff. As I said, im a total pleb, also my first post. be kind <3

I have no idea where to turn to, so i turn to you guys ! <3

It's a trial and error and easiest is to follow a guide and then fine tune to stabilize your CPU.

ASUS Z390 Quick Overclocking Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD1Ze80GpLo
Just don't disable "SpeedStep" as this guy cause what is the point of locking CPU to max power draw when you just surf the web.

Overclocking 9600K: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i5-9600k-coff...
"Although some Core i5-9600K CPUs reportedly run stable at up to 5.2 GHz, we aren't comfortable pushing our chip beyond the "safe" 1.35V limit."

All in all, follow the ASUS OC guide (5GHz@1.29V) then try to boot to Windows and if it fails then back to BIOS and lower the core speed or increase voltage (max 1.35V).
When finally booted into Windows start monitoring temps (HWiNFO) and run a CPU stress test (Prime95), if it crashes then back to BIOS for additional fine tuning. Repeat until stable with good temps like under 90C under load for 15-30min.

For fine tuning depends how your CPU reacts, here is an example:
If 5GHz@1.29V is stable then try 5.1GHz@1.29V.
If 5GHz@1.29V is unstable try 5GHz@1.3V or 4.9GHz@1.29V.
