Shuttle SilentX agg testat
Jag tar mig friheten att klistra in ett inlägg från Sudhian-forumet där en svensk snubbe fick sitt aggregat idag. Detta är vad han har att säga:
"Hi folks!
I ordered my psu from JME after seeing this thread yeasterday. Got it delivered today and installed it (next day business delivery).
My Setup:
SB75G2 P4 3.0
Corsair TWINX1024-4000 1Gb (2x512MB)
Hercules 9600 (pulled fan)
Seagate 7.7200 120GB SATA
Maxtor Max Plus 250GB SATA
When I recieved my Shuttle box a few weeks back, it was LOUD. It was so loud I was about to return the little bugger. Apart from the ICE fan thingy, the PSU was horrible. Besides being absurdly loud, it whined and buzzed when scrolling mouse etc. I suspect my psu was a defect item...
Anywayz, I've replaced the PSU with the new SilentX one and it is so quiet. Also it seems to deliver power more evenly and seems to have no problem with my setup. All in all, I'm very happy. It is strange that Shuttle didn't bundle this PSU with the new SB75G2 model as it is the top of the line... It cost me 80€.
I would also like to warn about purchasing Maxtor drives. My drive runs about 6C hotter than my Seagate drive at idle (browsing)! When pushed, the drive gets really really hot. Don't put this drive in an SFF!
I will upgrade my ICE fan (current PAPST 8412N-2GL purchased during xmas holidays...) probably to a noiseblocker S3, but I'm unsure atm. I do have an Enermax (1000~3000RPM 22~40CFM 14~33dB) which I hope my PSU/MB can handle. I'll try it out now
/jaf"
Låter mycket positivt tycker jag. Jag hoppas få mitt imorgon men en mer realistisk gissning är måndag.
