download it and start the installer

on the page where you can choose default or advanced install use the advanced install feature and just uncheck "install nvidia app" and what else you don't want from it.

as above said check so your windows is updated to at least win 10 22h2 of win 11 23h3.

if you are still running win 7 then you there are probably no newer drivers since it´s been eol for a couple of years now.

64 bit or 32 bit ?
32 bit limits your maximum ram amount to 4 gb or so & isn't supported anymore since around 2018 so you'd certainly notice that having issues.

And also why not via Nvidias webpage ?

The latest ones are here on the left just doing a manual search for them on their website.
