It's clear that NVIDIA isn't paying the $2600 per each FPGA that both sites are asking, but it shows that these are not cheap components in the least. I wouldn't be surprised to see that this FPGA alone makes up $500 of the final price point of these new displays, let alone the costly DDR4 memory."

Nej det är helt vansinnigt. Som dessutom måste kylas med en fläktlösning om jag förstår det rätt?

Hade vart fint med en modul i prisklass och prestanda mellan dessa två. Väldigt stort glapp mellan 1.2 och 1.4-modulerna.

Då har jag en fantastisk idé för nVidia att spara pengar! Det fungerar ju att köra Freesync från nVidia kort om man har en Radeon-krets någonstans i systemet (och har Windows 10). Billigaste kretsen som stödjer Freesync borde vara Oland, som kostade $50 inklusive minne när den var ny i konsumentledet (så garanterat mycket mindre än så idag, speciellt om man köper i bulk). NVidia kan helt enkelt inkludera en sån krets på grafikkortet och kalla det ”G-sync 2”, fungerar nu med alla Freesync-skärmar, och spara in flera hundra dollar per installation! Visst är det en fantastisk idé?
