Jag har precis samma problem och jag letar för fullt efter ett svar.
Vad jag har kommit fram till, än så länge, är att det är vanligt problem på EA-spel - det finns flera trådar här på Sweclockers som beskriver felet - men ingen direkt lösning - iaf inte för mig.
Vi är desperata!
Finns det någo prog för avinstallering av DirectX 10? Tänkte jag skulle testa ta bort det och lägga in det nytt.

Har även försökt regga mig på EA-support-sida. Men det verkar ju inte fungera - trots att jag reggat mig och fått aktiveringsmail så går det inte logga in.

If the installation of the game prompts you to install DirectX 9.0c and it's already installed on your system, choosing to cancel will stop the installation. Continuing with the installation of DirectX 9.0c will proceed with the installation, but after a reboot, you will be prompted to install again.
To get around this cycle, follow these steps if you are using Windows XP:
With CD 1 in the disk drive, open My Computer.
Right-click your CD drive and choose Explore.
Right-click Autorun.exe and choose Properties.
Select the Compatibility tab.
Click once in the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Select Windows 2000 from the drop down menu.
Apply changes. "
