First of all, in windows media player, configure surround sound setting. You can do so by opening Windows Media Center (WMC) → General → Windows Media Center Setup → Set up Your Speakers and then move to the next page by clicking on next. Now mark “Mini-plug (analog)” box and then select 5.1 or 7.1 speakers. Now click on next and then press Test button to know whether sound is coming or not. Then click next and then finish.
