Problem med xorg

Hej,

Jag har lite problem med xorg, jag får nämligen ingen bild på min skärm #2. Skärmen säger "no signal". Men skärmen "finns" där då jag kan dra över musen på den...

Jag har ati propitiatory drivarna installerade, och det fungerar UTAN dem.

När jag har strul med xorg.conf, finner jag det lättast att bara börja om på ny kaka.
Det vill säga flytta bort din gamla xorg.conf och starta helt utan den. X.org är idag så pass kompetent att det mesta kan autodetekteras.

När det kommer till multimonitor-setupen, finner jag det oerhört enkelt att bara använda ATI:s/AMD:s verktyg för att generera en ny xorg.conf -fil.
ATI Catalyst Control Center fungerar utmärkt för detta. Förvånansvärt väl. Ge den ett försök.
Saken är den att den öppna drivaren xf86-video-ati och den proprietära AMD Catalyst använder olika typer av konfigurationer för att få multimonitor-uppsättningar att fungera. xorg.conf-filerna går inte alltid att byta sinsemellan tyvärr.

Tack för tipset, det har jag provat tidigare, det fungerar inte heller.

När jag ändrar i AMD CCC så "dör" endå den högra skärmen..och den vänstra visas som "secondary".

Aticonfig --initial = ingen skillnad

Ominstallera xorg = Ingen skillnad..

Börjar bli lite smått frustrerande att man inte kan få till drivrutiner, önskar ibland att man hade nvidia kort istället

Såhär ser min xorg ut efter jag laddat om den och den skapar en ny config.

eller...

(Kan hända att jag kastat om DFP5 och DFP10, prova att byta plats på dem ifall skärmarna hamnar fel)

Problemet med din xorg.conf där är att du bara har en "monitor section" för en utgång. Detta är vad loggen säger:

Enligt den informationen behöver du alltså lägga till ännu en "monitor section" i din xorg.conf.
(din xrandr -q i första posten, och den senaste xorg.0.log stämmer inte överens när det kommer till vilka anslutningar som används, men jag antar att detta beror på att du möblerat om bland skärmkablarna mellan testerna. Så jag använder xorg.0.log som referens i det här fallet )

Vad säger loggen om du istället använder en amdcccle-genererad xorg.conf?
(Du borde då få en "monitor section" per ansluten bildskärm.)

Enligt den informationen behöver du alltså lägga till ännu en "monitor section" i din xorg.conf.
(din xrandr -q i första posten, och den senaste xorg.0.log stämmer inte överens när det kommer till vilka anslutningar som används, men jag antar att detta beror på att du möblerat om bland skärmkablarna mellan testerna. Så jag använder xorg.0.log som referens i det här fallet )

Vad säger loggen om du istället använder en amdcccle-genererad xorg.conf?
(Du borde då få en "monitor section" per ansluten bildskärm.)

Ok, nu har jag fått till det. Jag provade att ominstallera hela burken och drog in drivrutiner på nytt.

Nu kan jag äntligen göra ändringar i AMD CCC, dock så kvarstår problemet med skärm #2.

Monitor #1 fungerar, den går på DVI, monitor #2 går på Displayport. Så jag ser DFP10 (borde det vara)
