Well, what was your original problem with 3.6? Because, in another forum (Hungarian language...) there were 3 guys who had this problem that 3.6 works for a while but then freezes Windows after 20-60 seconds, and they have also tried exactly this 3.5, and it works for them (and of course, they have 970P too). So this 3.5 thing meant to fix this very specific freezing issue. But anyway, it's entierly possible that the old versions will say this unsupported display error message with certain video cards, while never version will recognize the display... If so, then it will be funny, since old version doesn't recognize your display, and too fresh ones will freeze Windows after the said dealy, if that was your problem. But hope didn't lost, since there are at least 3 more MagicTune releases after this 3.5 but before the 3.6 release, just we didn't find where to download them yet. These are:
V 3.5.1: March 1 2005
V 3.5.10 : April 10 2005
V 3.5.20 : May 1 2005
So anybody has these versions or find these, please contact me.
And, k0nsl, what type of video card you have?
(BTW, I assume you have already updated your video card driver, and also tried to drop and resintall your monitor (display) in windows, and have uninstalled the old MagicTune before installing this. The usual time wasting attempts, you know... Did you?)
