What is covered by the Zero dead pixel warranty? The Zero dead pixel warranty covers "missing" or "dead" pixels, i.e. if all three sub-pixels of one pixel are dead. To qualify dead pixels must be in the key viewing area, i.e. more than 1/4 inch away from the outer rim of the TFT. The "lit" pixel phenomenon is not covered by the Zero dead pixel warranty. Formac guarantees that each display covered by the Zero dead pixel warranty has zero dead pixels when it leaves the Formac manufacturing location. Formac cannot guarantee that the display will not have any dead pixels when it reaches its final location. Due to the rough shipping conditions Formac allows a maximum of 2 dead pixels caused through shipping/transport. The Zero dead pixel warranty expires two (2) weeks after the delivery of the display to the end-customer.
