Ordered Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080 26/12, it's enroute now. Will probably take until the 5th with Postnord not working over New Years, but who knows, it might sneak in tomorrow

As much of an "Evil Empire" Amazon is, their logistics department gets shit done. There's a reason they've eaten the rest of the food chain in the U.S.. You can literally click buy now and have pretty much whatever you want on your doorstep the next day. That being said, I will be a little uneasy until i open the box an see an unopened package, as a lot of people seem to like to pull scams on their returns which can then be forwarded on to the next customer without being checked thoroughly. Make sure you are buying directly from Amazon and not a third party seller as well.

Me too, but Gigabyte Gaming OC. Surprised with paying extra for expedited delivery it's still going to take till Jan 5th, ugh. At least there is some certainty in the waiting now. Anybody that ordered the regular TUF get a notification?

They don't put it on the website - you have to contact customer service and ask. I'm sure they're sick of answering hundreds of emails and chat requests every day, so a little common courtesy goes a long way - they've been quick to answer me. I ordered the TUF OC on November 28 and a week later I was at queue 531, just emailed them again because I've placed an order on another card that should come in sooner, but I would have preferred the Asus. They came back that I had only moved up to queue position 503 (from canceled orders I'd assumed) so I'm abandoning the order for the Asus. At the rate they are getting cards in they won't be in steady stock until mid-late 2021. It's a shame because I have an Asus TUF monitor and an Asus TUF x570 mobo and I guess they would have played nice together. Oh well.

I'm in the same boat, except i ordered from Inet in late November, and had place 591 on a TUF OC 3080 as of December 9th. Have now ordered the Gigabyte gaming OC 3080 with a tentative delivery date of Jan 3rd. Here's hoping they actually send it. I really had my heart set on the Asus but at this rate I'd have been waiting until halfway through next year. Seems like the two cards are pretty comparable when it comes to noise and thermals and performance, the power connector issues were only in early batches and it seems they've solved the earlier capacitor issues through driver updates.

A bit irritated because I held off on buying some of the pricier but nicer cards like Aorus Master, FTW3 Ultra etc when they popped up because I had an expected shipping date of Jan 17 on the Asus, but I guess that was total nonsense according to what the customer support guy told you.

Just hovered over an Asus 6800 XT that popped up on Komplett for a few minutes, didn't pull the trigger. Zen focus, gonna make it.

Yah I considered the 3070 but I wanted to future proof a bit. Been pushing my last rig along for 5 years now. Came really close to pulling the trigger on a few of the EVGA cards but at the end of the day I was really looking for the coolest running 3080. I guess waiting's not a huge deal right now- I've got my new rig up and running with the 970 (feels like a muscle car with a toyota corolla engine.) Avoiding cyberpunk spoilers will be the toughest part

Also buying hardware in Europe is brutal on the prices. You guys would really have a field day at Microcenter.

Fingers crossed on the canceled cards, but I suspect a lot of people will hock their extras on Tradera/blocket/ebay and make a few thousand per card.

Started a new build about three months ago because my GTX 970 has been huffing and puffing. Terrible timing of course. I've put everything together, just need the GPU like many others. I really only wanted to settle with the TUF OC 3080 because of the awesome cooling (I'm on a stock R6 Define and the case fans aren't very impressive.) Planning on playing at 1440p at 144hz.

I've been trying to snipe one unsuccessfully for what feels like ages, but finally bit the bullet and pre-ordered one at the inflated price from inet.se. The tentative shipping date is January 15, is this accurate or should I plan on waiting an additional few months?
