Tja.
alltså jag kan ju inte direkt säga att jag har något svar för jag har samma problem.
Men jag har antagligen tröstlöst mailat till AMD för att få någon form av hjälp.
det jag skickade var,.(jag reserverar mig för eleganta stavfel ).:

Hi.
I just bought a completly new system from scratch.
MSI kn72 delta (ms-6570) motherboard, adm
athlon xp barton 2800+,
tiasol cgk760092 cpu fan,
2x twinmos 256ddr 333mhz ram,
sapphire ati radeon 9600 pro
seagate barracuda 80GB disc.
samsung cdrw .
all this in a cold ebony miditower with appropiate power supply I guess.
after assemble I started to go through the bios setup and I didnt reach longer than the setup for CPU-FSB. default was 100mhz and I just changed it to 166mhz when the computer just died. to get the computer to start again so was I forced to unplug the powerchord for a short while.
so I startded again. I didnt get any far this time either 'cause when I was working my way in the bios menus the power went down again. remeber, the cpu-fsb was still running at 100mhz.
anyway. by skipping the bios deal and just focus to install a OS (win2k) so did the computer work fine. no problem what so ever. until I tryed to install the correct gfx drivers. during a special piont the power went down again. And I repeated this 2 times more and same results.
well, I manage to download the lates drivers from ati.com and install those drivers instead and it worked fine.
after that I tryed to test to play soldier of fortune 2, worked fine for a while. and then I tryed to change the resolution the system does it's typical power off thing again.
And I keept trying with different cpu-fsb setups wich many times made the system unstable because it shutted itselfe down unexpectedly.
This cant have anything with overheating to do with, cause the highest temperatur has been about 40 degrees celsius.
The cpu-fan is connceted to the powersupply instead of directly to the motherboard.
I have tested with only one memory modul installed at the time (and with same results)
My question is, WHY!?!
where is the malfunctoin? cpu, powersupply, gfx card, memory, motherboard.

Cheers!
