You can use prisjakt.nu or pricerunner.se to search for different products and compare the different stores to each other.

Generally though, you might want to look at websites such as webhallen.com, inet.se, dustinhome.se, netonnet.se and komplett.se for example.

For used hardware, the marketplace on this website (sweclockers.com) is a great place to buy and sell things for a fair price. You can also look at blocket.se, though be aware that most there tends to want way too much for their computer-related items.

@419nickd: The only computer store that I'm aware of in Luleå is http://www.oc.nu/ , so they are your best bet if you don't want to order online. They were really great when I lived up there around 15 years ago.

For used hardware, then you should have a look on the "market" section here on Sweclockers or on sites like "blocket.se" or similar.

Www.Komplett.se www.webhallen.se is what i use for new computers and electronics.
www.tradera.com is like Ebay.

Neither Elgiganten or Mediamarkt has any worse gpu prices than any other hardware seller often they are among the lowest/middle in the price range acording to prisjakt.

and the market for GPU prices has Sky rocked thanks to Digital currency and the coin mining that requires a lot of gpu power.

that means all prices has gone up because the supppliers cant supply in the same rate as they sell them and that means a shotage of gpus and the few the sellers get their hands on they can up the price because of the lack of competion from other sellers.

it´s all a question of supply and demand sadly.

Yep. I built my computer around that time. I payed ~ 700 SEK for 16 GB of memory, which seems to be around 2000 SEK now. The price seems to be up almost 200% .

@419nickd: If you consider to only upgrading your current system and want some guidance (due to the prices of gfx card and ram), let us know what you currently have and what you want to be able to do or what kind of games you want to play.

@419nickd: I would perhaps be a little bit concerned about the debris that might be electrically conducting, take a good look before inserting a new graphics card (grafikkort) so that nothing short circuits, but do mind ESD if you try to clean up some mess (no vacuum cleaning!)

Anyway here is a test made by Sweclockers that you might want to look at, to find what kind of "Grafikkort" you are after.

Keep in mind that the test is based on Intel Core i7-5930K @ 4,4 GHz, so the score will probably differ a bit for your system.

You might also want to check the "benchmark/performance index" (Prestanda index) page of the test to get a hint, an overview of the performance across several games.

For 1440p I'd say at least a 1060 3GB, but preferably a 6GB. Or a used 970 if you can find one. The cards you've listed will work, but you'll probably have to turn down the graphics settings quite a lot in some of the more demanding games.

AMD has the RX 580 that's about equivalent to the 1060, but they're very attractive for cryptomining so they're hard to find and the prices are completely crazy.

Something worth knowing and remembering is that in Sweden we have strict consumer purchase laws that allow you to test and use a product for 14 days if you have ordered it through mail.

For you to be able to return it it has to be returned in mint condition in its original packing.
