Viewsonic vx2286wm, 100, 110, 120 hz dosen't work in other resolutions than native
Hello there.
I recently bought viewsonic vx2268wm about a day ago. And as you might expect (or at least in my case) I bought it solely for the reason to play games at 120 hz. It seems I can only use 120 hz at native resolution (max res). And when i try to change to either 100, 110, or 120 hz at any other custom resolution the screen display beccomes extremely blurry and unreadable. What makes me really concerned about this is the fact i've read alot of forums where people clearly confirm this monitor runs flawless with 120hz at any resolution. I've heard this screen has some problems with ATI cards but i have Nvidia. I've also tried to plug in my old CRT monitor and it runs flawless in 120 hz in any resolution (which makes me wonder if graphics card has anything to do with it). I also called the Viewsonic support in Sweden and they don't seem to know any straight answer (at least not the guy i was talking to). These 120hz was the sole reason i bought this screen (since i heard/read it works for most other people at lower resolutions. Everyone else seem delightful over this monitor since the all can use 120 hz in any resolution, while i can't apparently. Nor do i want to play at max resolution. I would really appreciate help in this matter (if you have any ideas), what the problem could be? Faulty monitor? Anything else?
