We are currently letting people in wave after wave. At the time of this post we have 5154 players on the European servers. As you surely understand and as has been explained by Mark Jacobs and other developer earlier, it is important not to swamp the starting zones completely.

Magnus,
First - I don't attach any blame to you for the technical problems currently plaguing the EU launch, but this post of yours further erodes what minimal trust I have in what you personally tell us.
First of all, I think you are trying to reference this comment by MBJ - which has nothing to do with open beta.

We are certainly going to open extra servers at launch and population cap them initially (so the lowbie areas aren't filled to the brim) and then raise the cap to allow more people to get on after people start tiering up.
I wish I could say that there was a simple solution but there isn't. We can do things to try to help the problem but even allowing people to freely transfer between servers won't eliminate the problem totally and then could create another problem itself. Even with a moving pop cap, there is still the chance that people might not be able to get on to a server with a friends if that server is full. We'll just have to see how things play out and react accordingly.

Secondly, if it was *really* planned to let people in wave after wave, with just over 5000 people in by the evening of the first day of a seven day beta, why on earth were so many tens of thousands open beta keys given out? What plan is there to make amends to the thousands of Collectors Edition and Special Edition pre-order customers with guaranteed open-beta access that will not make in into one of these "waves"?
