Hey everyone!
I would like to present to you my latest modding project - Elegance.
The original plan for this build was to just use this as an HTPC, but after owning the Raijintek Metis chassis for a little while, I found myself thinking of more and more great things that I could do, and unique ideas that I would like to try out. After 2 months of hard work, sweat and a little blood, I would like to present to you a modding project where almost everything has been modded, and which I hope embodies the name "Elegance".
This Raijintek Metis is already a beautiful chassis so if I was to create a modded project out of it, I would want my mods to blend and complement the chassis instead of take away from it. I wanted to keep the chassis as close to original as possible as stock, but at the same time open it up for the world to see. I also wanted to solve the problem with the GPU that would be starved for fresh air. The result is a regular orientated motherboard layout where the GPU can suck in air from the bottom of the chassis via the precut holes for SSD and HDD, and also open up and bring the inside out, by creating a curved acrylic window which wraps the side and top panel.
Elegance has the following mods:
Fully custom length and sleeved PSU/SATA data cables
Reversed the internal layout of motherboard
Custom fabricated aluminium PSU shroud
Custom fabricated aluminium GPU shroud
Custom fabricated aluminium backlit panel with "MetallicAcid" logo
Custom fabricated aluminium panel for Cryorig H7 CPU tower
Custom fabricated aluminium IO shield for motherboard
