Corsair 1200AX coil or capacitor noise..

Hi and Welcome!!

I have two questions

One: I wonder about my new Corsair 1200AX that´s making some weird noise even when it´s turned off?! Sounds like a coil or capacitor tiny vibrating or buzzing.. Seems to work properly although I get some BSOD 0x124 sometimes but that can be my Corsair DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 1.65v with wrong settings in Bios.
Two: Why is that if I have chosen XMP profile it still put wrong latency defined like 9-9-9-24? It shows right in XMP profile but not in "DRAM Timings" on motherboard Bios or in Windows "hwinfo32"?

Maybe I´m missing something..

Best regards
Mattias

For the AX1200, put in an RMA request on the Corsair website, stating the noise issue, and they will then sort out an advance replacement (i.e. we'll send you a new one, then you send the other back). There were a small number of AX1200s that shipped with this issue, which has since been fixed, so we want to make sure you get a perfect sample.

Other than the noise, the AX1200 will perform perfectly so won't be the source of any BSODs. If the memory settings aren't being programmed correctly via XMP then perhaps that's a BIOS quirk (assuming the XMP profile is correct on the modules?). Are you using the latest BIOS?
