Broken h100i?

First off, I think my leds are broken, all but the red one... I found this video on YouTube, but he has the same problem as me.

Also, my fans makes some weird noise, but I can’t find any good words to describe it I am using the original fans. I will probably test them tonight without the radiator and see if the noise continues. IT DOES NOT DEPEND ON RPM; the sound is there no matter if they spin in 600 RPM or 2000 rpm...

I just need you to confirm that i am stupid or that i am supposed to sent it back to the retailer

I downloaded the latest corsair link here (under downloads) but I didn´t find any firmware or anything?

Btw, I am using the 3 pin stock fan. The "clicking" or noise or whatever, does not appear when I connect the fans directly to the motherboard.

If the noise only happens when you have the fans connected to the pump, then I'd suggest that you change those 3pin fans to the 4pin PWM fans. The 3pin fan doesn't really play well with the cooler that has 1.07 FW version, they are more optimal with the 4pin PWM fans. You can always request those here and simply say that you would like to request the H100i's 4pin PWM fan and we will be able to sort it out for you.

I got ticket number 6127832. I didn´t check out the Lot number because I do not have time, I am sorry for that. I didn´t know what part number to fill in, because i wrote about 2 thins at the same time, but i took the h100 fan kit although I got the H100i!

Okay, so i got really surprised when i got home today. My dad had told the delivery guy to put the package in the mailbox, and i opened it as soon as i came home. It only contained ONE fan. it was a 4 pin, but I haven’t tried it yet. Is there a second one coming in or did the other one got lost somewhere?

And what about the LEDs? As I said before, only the red one is working.

Sorry about that. It should have been two fans. Let me check your ticket again, if they've only sent one fan, then I'll make sure that they send another one.

As for the LEDs. have you tried flashing the FW?

On the page for h100i there are no FWs.

Regarding the "clicking noise", I had the same problem two days ago when I built my new system. I thought it was the fans, but no, it was the pump. Check the RPM for the pump because if it's any lower than 2200 it will make a "clicking noise". I was clueless on how to fix it but then I updated my motherboard to the latest BIOS and the pump is silent now...

Now that you are going to be using 4pin PWM fans, I'd recommend that you flash the FW to 1.07 version. Those PWM fans are optimal to work with a cooler that has the 1.07 FW version.

If the LEDs stayed the same, then we need to replace that unit. I've created another ticket for for the cooler, ticket # 6166584. Pre-paid label will be provided as well for the faulty unit.

When i return the unit, is it only the unit itself, or is it mounting brackets, (3-pinn) fans and all the other stuff that was in the pakage?

It was supposed to be "Didnt fix the LEDs.." In the last post, But my iphone does not always say what i want it to say

No problem at all.. we all go through tough days once in a while, totally understandable.

Just the cooler and two fans, that's good enough. You can keep all the screws and brackets.

I have the same problem with my LEDs on the H100i, but my only shows the green color. Had the same problem with the stock fans also. But i bought 2 Corsair SP120 and connected them to a different fan controller.

Is this something that started happening recently? or you've had this issue ever since?

Have you tried flashing the FW to 1.07? If you haven't, it's worth a shot. Here is the link.

I have owned my H100i about 6-7 months, and the problem occured about a month in. And i have the latest FW 1.07.

Let’s try this, stop Corsair Link Hardware monitor under task manager, close the SW then uninstall the software from the control panel including all the profiles, install the SW then go to Options and then click “Reset to defaults” then shutdown, unplug the USB connector, plug it back in to the same header or maybe try a different header, then turn on the system back on and flash the FW again. If that doesn't work, then it'd be better to replace the unit.

The problem still persists even after a few clean windows installations, and motherboard changes. So i'm pretty sure the led's are broken. The store i bought it from would take it in and have a look (Multitronic.fi). But if i send it away i will not have a cooler.

Sorry to hear that. If you process the RMA via Corsair, then you will have the option to request for an Express RMA, that way you'll be able to avoid down time for your system while you wait for the replacement.
