IE7, vilket skämt!

Som webbutvecklare har man ju väntat på denna version eftersom den breda massan fortfarande använder denna webbläsare. Som vi alla vet är ju IE förutom en enorm säkerhetsrisk även totalt urblåst på att försöka tolka CSS. Tidigare har vi ju hört att de skulle ta itu dessa problem. Men nu efter att Beta 1 har släppts (till utvecklare förvisso men givetvis har den ju läckt till P2P nätverken) strömmar rapporter om sanningen in. Och det är inte kul att läsa.
To tell the truth, the only "improvement" I've noticed is the tabs, but tabs have been available as extensions for quite some time.
I was hoping for some CSS improvements. When I first installed it, I immediately went to a few of the more difficult CSS sites, to see if they'd render correctly. Nope - no such luck. See http://meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/ [meyerweb.com] for example.

CSS support has some minor improvements, but nothing groundbreaking. IE7 fails the Acid2 test miserably [...]

Microsoft is also working to mitigate so-called phishing attacks, where a malicious hacker conceals his Web site to make it look like an eCommerce or online banking site in the hopes that unsuspecting users will cough up their user names and passwords and, thus, other critical private data. The Phishing Filter, as it's called, is an opt-in feature. From what I can tell, it doesn't do squat, as I loaded two obvious phishing addresses into the application with nary a warning.

Skandal, så slött av Microsoft. På 5 år lyckades de lösa ett ytterst fåtal CSS buggar, bygga in tabs (som funnits i andra webbläsare sedan tidens början) och en usel RSS läsare samt ett lamt skydd mot phising som kräver att man aktiverar det (hur många som behöver detta skydd kommer att göra detta).
Edit: Ja det är ju fortfarande en beta men man jag antar att MS inte plockar fram trollerihatten och den matchande vita kaninen till den färdiga produkten kommer
