tycker det är fruktansvärt dåligt om det inte blir en garanterad open beta spot för CE..... de lovade det ... om det skiter sig så som folk snackar ska jag anmäla dem för falsk marknadsföring .. kstade ut 800 spänn för att man skulle få en garanterad plats i open beta vilket de verkar skita totalt i .... så jävla lack jag är ..

I open beta så var det inga speciella regler för Collector's Edition eller Standard Edition mer än att man var garanterad en plats i open beta.
Fortfarande flera dagar kvar på på open beta.

Den 14 september så kan man börja spela ordenligt för de som har förhandsbokat Collector's Edition (med preorder boxen).

15 september för Standard Edition köpta från EA store.

Och 18 september för alla andra.

Så lite bonusar har man med Collector's Edition, förutom att man får fler utseenden att välja på sin karaktär och några quester som enbart finns för oss med CE.

Information
Server caps
Previous closed beta testers are being let in. We are successively allowing more and more players join. The current population cap is 500 players per realm (so 1000 max players online per server) with an additional 1500 players in queue. We will raise both the online and queue caps by roughly 25% every few hours. This is a delicate process, vital in keeping the servers and starting zones in good shape.

Should the need arise for additional servers, we will add more servers from our stockpile.
Our QA department is reporting that all servers and scenarios are running smooth.
Current Server cap: 1000 per server, 1500 in queue

Current issues
Account registration and key authentication unavailable
Registration and authentication servers have been taken offline for maintenance. This means that it is currently not possible to create new accounts or authenticate Open Beta keys. During this maintenance we are processing all queued account registrations and key authentications. These services will be available as soon as this work is complete.

ETA: Not available

Key has expired
Open Beta key authentication error: Key has expired. This is caused by a communication problem with our databases. We are working on a solution. This error does not mean that your key is invalid.

ETA: Very soon. To be confirmed.

Aborted patching
Sometimes patching process will abort the download and one is forced to restart. This is caused by patching optimisation by our technicians. When they implement a change your connection may be severed. If this occurs you should restart the patching process; it will continue from the beginning of file you were last downloading.

Who needs a new account?
Anyone who is already in possession of a valid account through www.war-europe.com does not need to create a new account.

If this ends up being just another 1000+ flame thread it will not be able to find and answer your questions. Personal note
Today is the seventh of September 2008. GOA has promised two things on this day:

* Open Beta servers launched simultaniously with North American servers
* Account pages brought online

Ever since GOA and Mythic started this joint venture, both parts have been very clear on the importance on equal (not identical hehe) treatment. GOA brought the EU servers online around 17:00 CET, roughly an hour and a half after Mythic opened theirs. Looking at this, while attempting to remain unbiased (not so easy, as I'm sure you'd agree!), I understand your disappointment. However, taking into account that Mythic, not GOA, are the developers of WAR and that normally - like WoW for instance - MMOs are launched and tested in the US months before Europe, I honestly don't think we've done that bad of a job with bringing the beta servers online.

To the account pages. Well, that's another story. They've been down or not working very well for most of the day. Sorry, about that.

On to the real issue, and the most important cause for people's 'strong emotions' today. Communication. For most of the day, official communication has been scarce. Being a Community Manager for WAR Europe, this clearly fall back to me personally. I don't want to be defensive and try to dodge blame or anything. I recognise that I've disappointed many of you today by not keeping you continuously updated on what's been going on. I accept this critique and offer no defense. I've done my best under what has been very demanding circumstances and I am constantly attempting to better myself and help you in whichever way I can.
