Corsair h100 broken screws.

Hello Corsair!

When i mounted my corsair h100i on asus maximus hero and with a 4770k my screws became bent.
The cpucooler sits on place but little bent to one side.
My temps are still ok 30-40 degress when playing and in full load.

But i need more screws for future mounting. How can i get those?

I mounted the cooler inside the chassis and it was little dark and i had bad ligths so i didn´t saw that i were bending the screws.

Is there any risk of damaging the motherboard?

Here is a picture of the screws.

How can i get new ones?

And could this be an issue, since it looks like more people are bending these screws so easily with only the force by your hand.

This is exactly the same problem that i have!
I also wrote a post about it yesterday. I wonder if it's better to mail Corsair directly about this of wait for a reply here?

We'll make sure that we send out replacement stand offs for you. Please submit a ticket at http://Corsair.Force.com and simply explain the situation and that you need replacement stand offs. Our customer service can easily sort this one out for you.

Exactly, BUT the screws are very thin and are very easily bent if the cooler is mounted not straight. It is difficult to mount the cooler straight, especially if radiator is mounted in front of chassis and the watertubes is just long enough to reach the position of cpu on mobo.

When playing bf3 35C on each core.

I have similar temps with stock cooler =/
Tho im around 38-40 when gaming, full load is around 50-54

And u have checked with Coretemp?

Other ppls with stock cooler have higher. Check this thread out...

CoreTemp yes indeed. However I have good airflow + good cooling paste. And my stock cooler really is a good ex. Its really quiet so I see no reason to change it. Its wierd that some ppl get that high, they probabl mounted it wrong.

Well try intel extreme tuning utility...

You guys will probably won't notice a huge difference between a stock cooler and the H100 when system in on idle, as it is not that important when comparing CPU temps.. Load temps is what matter to most. The H100's ability to keep your CPU temp better than average when CPU is under 100% load.

I remounted the cooler with the new replacement stand offs and with arctic silver 5 and tinted the bottom off sink.
I mounted them gently and perfectly.
Idle temps are almost same as roomtemp (23) degrees and full load aida 30 mins gave about max 50 degrees.
Corsairs program link2 set to balanced mode with only push original fans.

Intel extreme tuning program 20 min gave temps of 55 degrees.
All this with 4770k @3,9 ghz.
I hope I can hit 4,6-4,7 ghz soon when I have time to OC.
