Litet program för kalibrering av färger

Hittade nyligen ett smidigt litet program för kalibrering av färgerna på skärmen:

http://victal.at.tut.by/CLTest.rar

Mode -> Calibrate slow

What can I check for 30 seconds on a new monitor?

For 30 seconds, running the application directly from your stick, or downloading it from the Internet, you can verify the display gamma curve, but spending ~ 5-10min, you can lead gamma curves in order.

1. VERIFICATION OF GAMMA-CURVES

Heats monitor, preferably an hour

We put a profile on the monitor "Standard" (if any), sRGB, or, if the monitor is new - the one that was the default ( "Native").

Magic-Color (ry) and other "uluchshayzery" only hinder their need to fully disable. Particularly affected the quality of testing, if the monitor adds sharpness (eg, NEC 1970NX) or blur.

You can check it on a test image, (if the monitor connected to DVI) - it should look gray from a distance, without the squares. [http://victal.at.tut.by/SharpTest.PNG]

You should check the settings in the graphics card, if the settings are "default", if any: brightness, contrast, gamma, saturation and other settings. " (See the menu "ATI Catalyst" and other similar applications have control over the functions of the monitor, and able to memorize them and upload).

Load http://victal.at.tut.by/CLTest.rar (365K v2.0), run CLTest.exe

If the picture looks like a solid gray vertical gradient - Congratulations, the monitor is correctly set up the gamma curve.

as here: http://forum.ixbt.com/post.cgi?id=attach:28:21910:4:1 [http://forum.ixbt.com/post.cgi?id=attach:28:21910 : 4:1]

If not (see extensive color "field"), then proceed to configure.

as here: http://forum.ixbt.com/post.cgi?id=attach:28:21910:4:3 [http://forum.ixbt.com/post.cgi?id=attach:28:21910 : 4:3]

2. SETTING BLACK LEVEL

No settings to produce not necessary, if your monitor is pre-profiled, and you have loaded into the system, "standard profile" of your monitor (video-pairs). When profiling is not too lazy to create a passport profiling in a plain text file, which will be recorded basic data on the monitor settings and video card. These data will help to return to them if you do accidentally shot down.

Annex CLTest.exe running and is in default mode

(in menyur gamma2.2, Result, All, slider - to center)

Remember - the bright lights of the room, dust the surface of the monitor makes it very difficult setting.

For LCD monitors:

First, set the working level of brightness, which you will use in the future most of the time.

Pass the menu CLTest Mode-> Calibtate fast and find ourselves in step (Step -1).

This screen displays the rectangles of 3 main colors + gray level 10 .. 1 on the black background.

If discernibility kept until level 2 .. 4 (those on a black background discernible 7.9 rectangles in each column), then no adjustments in this paragraph is not required.

If distinguishably less than 7 of the rectangle, it is required to raise the black level ( "UP" button, mouse wheel), but this should be done carefully - the visibility of rectangles required on the verge of legibility, otherwise, after practicing with the value of black, can degrade himself black, and as a consequence - contrast.

If you configure one or two channels differ in all 10 rectangles, and the rest less than 7 - then the need pokanalnaya Your Monitor (Item 5).

CRT monitor:

Pass the menu CLTest Mode-> Calibtate fast and find ourselves in step (Step -1).

Then try to adjust the brightness of the monitor, ensuring legibility 8.10 rectangles in each column.

If you configure one or two channels differ in all 10 rectangles, and the rest less than 7 - then the need pokanalnaya Your Monitor (Item 5).

3. SETUP white point.

Given that the white balance adjustment includes all the achromatic axis of the black, the minimum luminosity of a phosphor screen, a reference to the white light of a given target temperature (5000K, 6500K, etc.) and degree of lightness (70 ~ 120 Cd/m2 ), this operation is best done by the hardware. Otherwise, better to use the standard modes (5000K, 6500K, ... or "Native") specified in the monitor by default, which may be satisfactory for the new monitors. Therefore, the actions described below have a default occurs, as for the regime of "Native". For profiled monitor to fulfill them is not necessary.

Being in step (Step -1), proceed to step (Step 0) by pressing the "right" or a choice menu CLTest Mode-> Set White

This screen displays rectangles Goal-Purpe-yellow-Ser with the level of constituent primary colors 245 .. 254 on white background.

If discernibility kept until level 252 .. 254 (those are distinguishable 7.9 rectangles in each column), then no adjustments in this paragraph is not required, except that tweak the white balance.

If distinguishably less than 7 of the rectangle, then you want to subtract the level of white. You can try to subtract the contrast on your monitor - if the contrast was too high, it helps. If there is discernible only at very strong decrease in contrast, resulting in the image on the screen becomes dim, it is better to use the adjustment CLTest (button "Down", the mouse wheel).

If you configure one or two channels differ in all 10 rectangles, and the rest less than 7 - then the need pokanalnaya Your Monitor (Item 5).

Now we must check the white balance - white should really be white (or gray if the brightness / contrast too low), without shades.

If the white goes to a color (or the sum of two colors), this color (the color) should be reduced. This is best done from the menu screen, the submenu "Color"

But you can do in CLTest. To do this, click "Color Channel", select the appropriate color and reduced, as long as white does not come back to normal.

4. SETUP gamma curve

Proceed to step (Step 1) by pressing the "right" or a choice menu CLTest Mode-> Step (1)

Step 1:

Button on the keyboard "Up-Down" (or scroll wheel) making the gray image. If the image looks like a red-green-blue (K-W-C) RGB - Out value should be increased, if (G-P-F) CMY-reduced.

When made in a neutral gray, click on the button "Right" (or CLTest "NextStep") and find ourselves in the next step (Step 2)

Step 2 ... ~ 14:

Repeat everything as in step (1)!

Check the result on CLTest Mode -> Result (gradient)

If everything turned out - do not forget to save color profile CLTest -> Curve-> Save That's it! (Pokanalnuyu method with this method to ignore).

5 Pokanalnaya Your Monitor

If the initial gradient at the monitor is not pure gray, you'll need to configure pokanalno: menu CLTest Mode-> Calibtate slow RGB

and find ourselves in step -1.1 (Red)

If distinguishably less than 7 of the rectangle, then you want to raise the level of 0 for the channel ( "UP" button, mouse wheel).

Similarly -1.2 (Green), -1.3 (Blue). ...

Similarly tune white (Step 0.1 ... 0.3) - should differ 9.7 rectangles. Plus, upon completion of step 0.3 in control white balance.

Then tune the point of the gamma curve (Step 1.1 ... 1.3)

Use Up-Down adjusts the color on a color strip to the color of the rest of the background.

There is another feature - the accuracy of the method, the deviation of ~ 1 .. 2 "quantization", which is not much to scale, but is essential for uniform color temperature. At X.3 step (before going to step step X +1) Monitor color temperature, and if the gray background was obtained with color impurities - tinker with those col. channels, where there were doubts that the place - more or less importance.

Step 2.1 ... ~ 14.3:

Warning, after you came to the very last step and korrektiruete it is still possible to go back and correct any of the steps, but once you pass it, change nothing will be impossible, at this session of the calibration. It will need to do from scratch (again).

repeat everything as in step 1. #! ...

Check the result on CLTest Mode -> Result (gradient)

If everything turned out - do not forget to save color profile CLTest -> Curve-> Save, to use them in the future (the name itself come up with, "RivaCLTest" by default) + added load profile for the system startup.

See what happened can be RivaTyuner v2.0 Final-> "low-level color settings -> profile name colors (" RivaCLTest "by default).

- Profiles can be downloaded specifying its name as a parameter in the command line.

For multi-monitor systems in beta 20 + transfer N profiles (after which the program ends without any clear windows and messages).

- In Beta 24 Added export to *. icm for subsequent imports are not very new ForceWare (in 163.71_forceware_winxp_32bit_english such imports is, in 169.09, no longer). For something different, this profile does not fit, please do not "feed" them to the system!

If you fail, you need to install in the menu "CLTest-> Curve-> Set default"

Make changes cohraniv and uploading the result of conversion of gamma curve in the registry CLTest-> Curve-> Save and set startup ... and reboot your system.

When in the menu "Startup" utility that loads the video card LUT to their data on the gamma curve and their transformation made in the area of the video card LUT will be the last, from what you do not see it. Since Apart from the change in the registry will be loaded in the LUT to the change utility. In this case you should either download the data obtained in the form available to export a text file created from the application CLTest, or remove the icons of these utilities from the "Startup folder and reboot the system.

What can not CLTest, he can not:

1.0. Replace the hardware calibrator.

1.1. Measure the color gamut of the monitor

1.2. (Corollary 1.1) - lead to the sRGB color gamut

1.3. Adjust the white balance on the desired color. temperature.

1.4. Edit LUT (conversion table in-out) the monitor, but from the video card LUT changes affected gradients. But this option is not available in all monitors for hardware calibration, usually, "her presence" can be seen on-screen menu of the monitor *.

* - (Incidentally, this applies to all calibrators at the level of the video card LUT c 8bit per channel out. There is no need to calibrate your monitor LUT supports no more than 8bit, if the LUT video adapter can біть same 8bit).

But CLTest can afford:

2.1. Rate the quality of gamma-vinyl buying for 3 ~ 5 sec.

2.2. Rate the quality of the analog connection of the monitor. Type in the patterns CRT and LCD1, LCD2 in fact should not be different (as the same color, but not in horizontal stripes, and checkerboard pattern and vertical strips).

2.3. Rate error (Delta) colors for a given head position at the edges of the monitor properly calibrated for the center for the VA and TN.

2.4. Save on the calibrator for the VA and TN monitors - you can see that even if you sit a meter away from the 19 "monitor - the color shift at the edges relative to the center will not exceed 4 delta (> 8 for TN), and with such precision calibrate CLTest-Ohm is realistic . Is that the white balance adjust ...

F.A.Q.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------

Q2: And what is different from the 2.2 gamma sRGB?

A2: Gamma2.2 and sRGB are very similar, but differ just at the bottom.

See formula http://www.w3.org/Graphics/Color/sRGB [http://www.w3.org/Graphics/Color/sRGB]

For sRGB luminance L, depending on the C = color / 255:

L = C/12.92 for C <= 0.03928

L = (C + 0.055) / (1.055) ^ 2.4 for C> 0.03928

For Gamma 2.2:

L = C ^ 2.2

sRGB in dark areas is higher gammy2.2

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------

Q3: Held calibration. Color temperature dropped - all turned yellow. I dumped by default - all became нормуль. So left ... Lintel in the program?

A3: This is a very common cannot monitors - bending curve color-> blue channel brightness for LCD monitors in the brightest area. In this case the color temperature of white is less than the color. temperature of gray, but the User gets used to it quickly. During calibration of the color temperature of gray areas can be reduced to tsv.temperature white, hence the drop in temperature. This can be seen from the curve of correction - the blue curve is significantly lower than the red and green.

Fighting it is: reduce the level of red and green channel before calibration or decrease contrast.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------

Q4: Patterns LCD1, LCD2 any left. Picture fundamentally different from CRT + LCD

A4: Either connect to analog (and not very good), or the monitor conducts a post-processing of images, such as "sharpness". Try to remove the post-processing

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------

[i] Q5: Do the monitor initially on black / white gradient strongly noticeable gradations of gray, while he (the gradient), the whole bit iridescent. Chased pokanalnuyu setting - better not to become.

A5: I will not. Bad gradients even the most good calibrator is not correct, because the reason for the poor gradient - insufficient number of displayed colors.
