Hey there!
I have a GS70 (the older one with GTX 760m) and my battery seems to have gone bad, really bad.
In fact it's doubled in thickness!
Seeing as my warranty has run out I figured I might aswell swap the battery myself, seems easy enough.
Where can I find replacement batteries?
This is the battery I have:

Another question, am I correct in assuming I can still use the notebook with the power adapter connected?

MSI doesn't offer spare parts for sale, the official way is to apply for a notebook repair (through https://register.msi.com) and when the notebook is out-of warranty they will send you a quotation of the cost first.

The alternative way is to search for the spare part in this case a BTY-L76 battery on third party websites.
I have found BTY-L76 on ebay and aliexpress:
http://www.ebay.nl/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_n...
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_...

(MSI cannot guarantee the correctness of the info or the quality of those products)

Just bought a GS73VR laptop and was wondering if upgrading the HDD (not the m2 SSD) will void the warranty?

MSI's general Rule is this:
In EU MSI users are allowed to break the warranty sticker on notebooks to upgrade: RAM, HDD/SSD, Wireless, etc; and also for cleaning purposes.
However, please note that any damages which may occur during mentioned actions will not be covered under manufacturer's warranty.
If you are unsure about your upgrade skills, you might need to ask the shop for help or one of our repair centers.
Also note that when a warranty sticker is broken and you need to send it to one of our repair centers for service, our engineers will pay extra attention to user damage.

For GS models we strongly discourage consumers from opening their notebooks for upgrade themselves to avoid risk of damage.
For GS73 you can practically only access/upgrade the 2.5" SATA hdd.

So yes you are allowed to do it but any damage is for your own risk.

@Ruudt: thanks for the answer! Yeah, I'm only going to upgrade the sata ssd which shouldn't be a problem at all then!
