Problem with 5.25" to 3.5" adapter

Hi!

I recently bought a Scythe Kaze Q 3.5 fancontroller. When installing it into the chassie I couldn't make it fit good in any way. I could chose between having it stick in 1cm into the chassie or stick out 1cm from the chassie.
It took me about 4 hours to realise it wouldn't fit, I was very very angry and it ended up with me buying a Zalman MFC-1 Plus instead, which is 5.25" so no adapter would be needed.

I would really like that you fixed this problem. It sucked pretty much wasting 250kr on a fancontroller that I couldn't use at all. And the fact that I had to buy a new one for 400kr didn't make it better.

The chassie I am talking about is Antec Nine Hundred Two.

Best regards
Niklas

Thanks alot.

It made me very very frustrated when i realised i had been trying for 4 hours to make it work, without result.

It's very good actually that you include this adapter, but it needs improvement.

I have the exact same fan controller and it wouldn't fit in the 3.5" space in my P182 either. It would get stuck with about 2cm left of the device on the outside.

I ended up bending the metal case of the fan controller to be able to push it in, though I should probably have bent it a bit more. I bent it enough to be able to push it in but the damn thing is completely stuck now and won't budge at all. I sure hope it never breaks 'cause I don't think I'll be able to remove it without a lot of force.
