Sorry for posting in english, but im norwegian and this was the only extensive thread I could find on this computer. If you want to reply in swedish, that's fine.
So I'm considering this laptop (the i5 version) - and have a few conserns after reading this thread:
1. Is the throttling-problem affecting both versions?
2. Without coolingpads - how hot does it actually get? Both when and when NOT playing games.
3. Battery life (i5 version) when surfing / text-editing and/or watching movies? Normal use, in other words.
4. Noise-lvl?`Will be used at university 90% of the time, so I need a computer that doesnt scare away the other ppl in class.
5. does the keyboard have much flex in it? As in; how is it construction-wise?
Will be used mostly for photo- and video-editing, but I'd like to have the possibility to run BF3 smoothly at low->medium settings in the future.
Hello !
1.I have no idea.
2. While doing nothing 40 degree both CPU/GPU, full load 90 CPU/92 GPU
3. Battery life variates, between 2 to 4 hours in my case.
4. Noise level, well while doing light things is kinda noiseless, however while playing light games it do tend to sound abit high, worst is when you play heavy games.
5. The keyboard is something you need to "learn" to love... I can speak for myself and I hate it but yet I am trying to love it as much I can...
About BF3, do not expect super performance @ this moment however sooner or later we will be able to play medium @1600x900 with decent frame rates this is what nvidia forums promises with their future drivers...
