RMA Express Replacement

Hi Corsair,

My newly built rig have been difficult from the start, BSOD's and spontaneous reboots. The memory I'm using is a kit 4x4 GB Dominator Platinum CL9 2400 MHz.
After alot of cursing I ran Memtest86+ last night, and within a minute it started reporting errors. I let it run over night and when I checked this morning there was nearly 500 errors. I'm going to file for a RMA when I get home tonight, but I have couple of questions regarding Express Replacement option.

How long will a Express Replacement be compared to the standard option?
Is there any charges added when using the Express compared with the standard option?

Reason for asking is just if I should get a "interim-kit" while waiting or not...

Thanks,
Christian

Sorry to hear that Christian. Express RMA, you would normally get the replacement within 2-3 business days after you've provided your Credit Card info to our customer service. There will be no charge to the card, but rather a hold amount that will be release once we get the faulty part. Standard RMA typically takes between 7-10 business days, depending on how soon we get the faulty part back.

Wouldn't it be easier to send it to the retailer you bought it from?

Great!

I did some more testing and I can run the kit in 1866 MHz without errors, anything above that make memtest report errors.

That would mean sending in the RAM-kit to the retailer, and me being offline and unhappy or having to spend additional money on a temporary kit while the broken kit is replaced.
