After breaking the mouse wheel axis of two m90 ( http://www.sweclockers.com/forum/127-corsair/1218122-mouse-wh... ), I tried using another mouse for a while. However I missed the old mouse and when I bought some other stuff from Dustin almost two months ago I decided to buy yet another one. I unpacked it but didn't connect until today, I continued using my replacement mouse as it takes a while for me to get used to another mouse.
However, when I finally plugged it in (in the same computer which I had my previous m90, the drivers and program are still installed), it didn't light up, neither the blue lights on the mouse nor the laser and it didn't work. The computer still did recognized it being plugged in though which is strange. I tired several usb-ports to no avail. I rebooted with it plugged in, but it wasn't recognized by the bios and it actually stopped the windows loading process which wouldn't finish until I unplugged it.
I tried it in another computer (older win xp system). It didn't light up and didn't work there either but was once again recognized as being plugged in. I got the message that I should reboot for it to work and so I did, but that didn't help.
I then proceeded to try and install the driver for it, got a warning that I should update the firmware first. I tried the firmware update program, but it didn't really got going as it aborted with the message that it couldn't read the flash memory of the mouse.
I guess it is DOA or are there anything that I should try? Should I turn to Dustin to get a replacement or go through the Corsair RMA department?
