Webbläsaren Chrome vinner mark på konkurrenternas bekostnad och Google fortsätter att lansera nya versioner i en rasande takt. Nya Chrome 12.0 innehåller i vanlig ordning flera nyheter, bland annat möjligheten att accelerera 3D-CSS med grafikkort och bättre säkerhet för nedladdningar.
Ändringsloggen avslöjar även en hög mindre fixar och förbättringar, exempelvis möjligheten att radera cookies relaterade till Flash, stöd för att starta applikationer via sökfältet samt förbättrad integration med Sync. Google passar även på att ta bort stödet för Gears, som nu ersätts med webbstandarder som HTML5.
Google Chrome 12.0 släpps till Windows, Mac OS X och Linux. Den senaste versionen av webbläsaren kan laddas ned från utvecklarnas webbplats.

The Google Chrome team is happy to announce the release of Chrome 12 to the Stable Channel for all platforms. Chrome 12.0.742.91 includes a number of new features and updates, including:
Hardware accelerated 3D CSS
New Safe Browsing protection against downloading malicious files
Ability to delete Flash cookies from inside Chrome
Launch Apps by name from the Omnibox
Integrated Sync into new settings pages
Improved screen reader support
New warning when hitting Command-Q on Mac
Removal of Google Gears
